How Trestle and Block added to MoreySmith's vision for the new Mckinsey Headquarters

An interview with Rosemary Ford from MoreySmith, the architecture studio behind the new interior of the Mckinsey's new London base in Holborn.

We recently completed the installation of our furniture for the global management consultancy firm McKinsey in their new London base, the Post Building, Holborn.

Rosemary Ford from the architects behind the scheme, MoreySmith, shares her feedback:

Q:

Can you tell us a bit about any latest projects that feature Jennifer Newman pieces? Why have they been a good fit for that particular project?

A:

The latest project to include Jennifer Newman pieces is a 126,000 sq ft headquarters for a leading global management consulting firm, spanning six floors. The Block and Trestle tables have been used and reflect the interior that features exposed services and industrial steelwork. There’s a hint of this aesthetic reflected in these pieces that works well with the overall design.

A completely bespoke piece has also been produced collaboratively with the Jennifer Newman design team to meet the client’s specific needs and requirements in terms of colour, materiality and connectivity.

Q:

How do the bespoke services that Jennifer Newman Studio offer help when working on a project?

A:

The option to create bespoke pieces is very beneficial and allows us to perfectly complement our designs. From changing the colour of a leg to creating a whole new bespoke piece, we’ve found there is no challenge that goes unaccepted. The results are always well made and finished to a high standard, with trust in the product and the people involved in the process.
